Ibrar Gul,
Trainee Estimator

“Sprinklers are more interesting than I gave them credit for!”

Ibrar joined Hall & Kay in 2023 as a Trainee Estimator, following completion of a Quantity Surveying degree. Ibrar receives 1-1 mentoring from our Sales Director and has enrolled on the Hall & Kay Academy’s Sprinkler Design Course 2024 to expand his technical knowledge.

Elisha Zulfiqar,
Trainee Design Engineer

“Every designer has helped me develop my skills and shown me how fantastic it is to be part of Hall & Kay.”

As a Trainee Design Engineer, Elisha works closely with our Design & Projects teams, receiving 1-1 mentoring and gaining experience by completing site surveys and marking up drawings. As part of her training, Elisha will also join the Hall & Kay Academy’s ‘Sprinkler Design’ Course in 2024.

Following completion of a training scheme with Scottish Fire and Rescue, which covered all aspects of firefighting and fire prevention, Ross joined Hall & Kay as he had ‘a real interest in learning more’. Training on the job alongside our senior engineers, Ross spends his time carrying out varied tasks such as pump services, engine refits or replacing a diesel control panel.

Scott creates 2D sprinkler drawings for small works projects ranging from shop units to office fit-outs and pump rooms. Need to adapt and react quickly to changes on site, Scott must capture any design alterations efficiently so that projects can remain on track and the installation is compliant.

Nicole officially joined H&K in 2015 as a Credit Controller but has gained vast experience providing administrative support to nearly all departments over the years! By working with different teams, she helps keep the office together and people connected. Always start the day with a smile!

Kim has managed the installation of sprinkler systems within some of the most prestigious buildings in London. 22 Bishopsgate, Heathrow Terminal 2A, and Bloomberg, to name a few!

“Nothing gives me greater pleasure than seeing our team in Manchester grow and deliver successful projects.”

Ben started life in the industry as a sprinkler pipefitter and through hard work and dedication worked his way up to oversee operations within our Manchester office. Day to day working closely with sales to price new jobs, project managers on existing projects and admin teams to ensure we’re delivering for our customers.

Rak ensures the smooth operation of our Security business so that we’re providing exceptional customer experience every day. Looking after both service and installation departments, Rak supports our Divisional Director to ensure the continued growth of our security division.

Working within our service division, Jonn manages one of our national accounts and is responsible for keeping them up to date following maintenance visits, emergency call-outs and remedial works.

Managing designs of major projects within our Birmingham office, Juliet works with clients and internal project teams to develop complex sprinkler systems and subsequently support with the the transition from design to implementation.

Working within our fast-paced service division, Magenta prepares quotations for clients following maintenance visits, schedules quoted works on sprinkler fire pumps, orders necessary materials and arranges emergency call-out attendances.

Steve is passionate about developing the next generation of sprinkler engineers. As a Service Engineer Supervisor, he provides technical guidance and support to our service engineers and attends maintenance visits and support on emergency callouts.

Daniella

“I feel a sense of achievement when I can see exactly how the sprinkler system is going to look inside the finished buildings.”

As a sprinkler designer within our small works department, Daniella spends her time on site completing surveys, and in the office marking up drawings or BIM modelling. Daniella is also completing our ‘Sprinkler Design’ course as part of the H&K Academy.

Sales Estimator

Jack

“My favourite thing is the people I work with and the people I get to meet. We’re always sharing ideas and learning new ways of doing things.”

Jack works closely with our clients to determine the fire protection requirements for new buildings and existing sites and prepare written tenders for submission. He also supports businesses and consultants during the early planning stages to advise on everything from tank and pump sizes to electrical requirements.

Shannon

“I get a sense of fulfilment knowing the work I’m doing is making a positive impact on the community.”

Shannon coordinates the installation of security systems. Ordering all equipment, liaising with clients and organising engineers to install, maintain, and respond to emergency call-outs.

Administration Manager

Jackie manages the administration for the office and small works division in Manchester. Working closely with onsite teams to manage job-related paperwork, raise invoices, monitor age debt, and set up new client accounts.
